Job Responsibilities: |

The ‘right’ person will continue the rising tide of success and take it to another level by having a good mix of the skills listed below:
- Ability to lead a strong organization as it looks to move into another budget echelon and become a focal non-profit organization in greater Richmond
- Ability to coach & lead an existing cohesive high-performing team to new heights
- Ability to comfortably and successfully be the ‘face’ of the organization
- Extensive knowledge of the Greater Richmond fund development market
- Ability to continue strong grant revenue growth while also putting significant emphasis on greatly increasing individual donations
- Ability to strengthen and create new partnerships with other non-profits
- Ability to ensure operational soundness on an ongoing basis (financial management, risk management and program growth and ongoing management)
- Ability to successfully work with and develop the Board of Directors and leverage the assets they bring to the table |

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Richmond & the Tri-Cities has undergone extensive growth over the past five years, with a budget growing from under $500,000 to a 2008 budget of almost $800,000, and moving from serving 300 disadvantaged youths to almost 800. The Board of Directors is looking for the right individual to help achieve the organization’s goals and become the ‘face’ of the organization for years to come.
In 2008 the local organization not only received The Gold Standard Award, given to recognize growth, children served and quality of service, at the National convention but also the Board of Directors received the Robert M. Kommerstad Leadership Medal for 2008 Board of the Year for Mid-Sized Agency. |
