Job Responsibilities: |
|
*JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing high-level customer service in response to all functions of Big Brothers Big Sisters. These functions include recruitment and partnership, fund development and program management. The coordinator may handle all of the functions or supervise staff who so. The successful incumbent will produce positive outcomes in the following areas: partnerships developed, revenue raised and program metrics, including but not limited to: volunteer yield and processing time; customer satisfaction, six month retention rate, on time match contacts, match closure rate and average match length.
*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fund Development: •Identify and cultivate relationships with community and leadership council members interested in BBBS that can provide an ongoing supply of potential volunteers and financial support. •Support the work of the leadership council. •Coordinate and execute written, phone and face-to-face gift requests. •Coordinate and execute any special events. •Maintain donor and program records as mandated by Big Brothers Big Sisters recordkeeping policies.
Program: •Perform service delivery functions. These functions include recruiting, interviewing, assessing and matching volunteers and youth as well as supporting families and volunteers participating in the program. •Maintain customer service at levels that meet or exceed expectations of all clients: volunteers, families, employers, donors, etc. •Coordinate and execute program activities.
Partnership Development: •Identify and negotiate partnerships with local agencies, employers and school districts. •Participate in agency staff meetings as well as meetings with members of the area management team. •Provide timely reports as required to main office and/or other partners. •Actively participate in community meetings and events. •Perform other related duties as assigned.

*PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit in meetings for long periods of time. Ability to work effectively using a personal computer for long periods of time. |

Job Qualifications: |
|
*Minimum Bachelor’s Degree preferred. *Assessment and relationship development experience with child and adult populations (if handling program functions). *Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work collaboratively to inspire, motivate and focus. *Results orientated approach through high levels of organization, prioritizing and excellent public speaking, presentation and writing skills. *Proficiency in technical areas such as Microsoft OFFICE, including Word, Outlook, Access and Excel and able to manage office equipment (phones, faxes, copiers, computers, etc.). *Must commit to maintaining confidentiality of agency and donor information.
*REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent oral communication skills reflecting solid customer service both in-person and via the telephone. Ability to relate well in multicultural environments. Willing and able to work irregular hours and have a flexible work schedule. Possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance and able to use personal vehicle for local travel on agency business. Position and promote opportunities. Represent the program to the public in a positive and energetic manner. |
