Job Responsibilities:   --------------

Interview, hire and train staff/interns

Provide ongoing coaching, corrective feedback and professional development support

Coordinate, monitor and evaluate workload and performance

Conduct staff/intern performance evaluations

Work collaboratively with Co-Manager of Site-Based Mentoring and Program Managers to ensure a high quality training program and service delivery for interns and staff

Attend management meetings as requested

Work collaboratively with others to lead strategic planning initiatives for the department

Provide collaborative support to other programs as assigned

Lead Little Sister Teen Board and Teen Engagement Committee

Program Management:

Co-manage the Site-Based Mentoring department

Develop and sustain new and existing relationships with potential program sites and partners

Oversee quality assurance activities, including, but not limited to surveys, evaluations, database management and case reviews

Monitor enrollment patterns and communicate volume and geography needs to ensure that new match goals are achieved at each site

Ensure that Big Sister is visible and highly regarded in all sites. Oversee partner engagement activities and initiatives as indicated

In collaboration with the appropriate staff, monitor volunteer enrollment patterns to ensure that growth goals are achieved for each site

Develop, implement and evaluate new program models as determined

Compile and analyze external research on girls needs and program best practices

Integrate new research-based best practices into program delivery

Provide researched-based content for fundraising grants and reports; and newsletters, e-communications and other marketing material

Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:   Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a social or human science, such as social work, sociology or psychology. Master's degree preferred

Demonstrated skills in coordinating and facilitating groups for adolescent girls and conducting group training

Experience analyzing and synthesizing data

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to give and receive constructive feedback

Commitment to professional development

Highly organized and flexible in a dynamic environment

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Leadership skills—demonstrated initiative to identify problems and opportunities with feasible recommendations for action

Demonstrated site contact and site management experience

Strong sense of ownership in department functions

Commitment to goals and mission of the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston

Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends
Salary:   $50,000 annual + benefits
