Job Responsibilities: |
|
40 hours per week to oversee adult/child one-to-one mentoring matches. Caseload consists of children and their families from Hampshire County. Responsibilities include screening, training and supervising community adult volunteer and college student mentors, maintaining contact with families, schools, and other agencies, and keeping thorough case records. This position includes facilitating a college campus based on-site weekly after-school mentoring program for children. The position also includes some grant writing and grant management responsibilities.
The case manager works within the team model establishing open communication, support and accountability among co-workers. As a small program, the entire staff works collaboratively to organize events for program participants, recruit mentors and assist with fundraising activities. Must have a positive attitude and be able to work in a small busy office with shared space. Salary range based on experience and credentials: $32,000 - $35,000 plus full benefits package. |

Job Qualifications: |
|
BA degree with relevant experience minimum, Masters degree preferred. Experience working with children and families, as well as leading activities for groups of children. Bilingual Spanish highly preferred. Must have a car. Collaboration skills essential. Must have ability to maintain thorough case records and commitment to welfare of children and adolescents. Essential to have flexibility regarding scheduling to accommodate for some evening and occasional weekend availability. Minority candidates encouraged to apply. |
