Job Responsibilities: |
|
• Manage all aspects of special events; including: fund raising, individual and corporate participation, recognition, sponsorship solicitation, organizing volunteers, advertising plan, record keeping and retention, and other event details with the Anchorage Development Director & Fund Development Team. • Working cooperatively with the Anchorage Community Team and local board, and other event details. • Stewardship of corporate and individual contributors to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska; in particular those who give to special events. • Support the efforts of Anchorage Director of Development in local board stewardship; in particular as related to special events. • Assist the Anchorage Director of Development with board meeting support (e.g., preparing agendas, taking/distributing minutes). • Assist the Anchorage Director of Development with the monthly office tours to build donor base and improve community knowledge about Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska. • Participate in Fund Development and Anchorage Team meetings. • As a member of the State Fund Development Team responsibilities may include: • Collaborate with and provide support as needed to other Fund Development staff to maximize revenue statewide. • Interviewing, selecting, hiring and firing Statewide Fund Development Team members • Establishing and evaluating individual Statewide Fund Development Team members and team performance goals • Developing fund development procedures • Developing annual plans for fund development • Establishing outcome measurements in alignment with business plan with each team member and monitoring progress • Creating Annual Budget Developing professional development plans with each team member • Perform other related duties as necessary to the success of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska. |

Job Qualifications: |
|
Minimum BA/BS degree and at least two years demonstrated experience working in event coordination or in a professional office environment is preferred. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form. Must be able to work effectively as a team player. Must commit to maintaining confidentiality of agency and donor information. Previous experience with donor tracking software preferred. Pride in well-presented and accurate work completed within deadlines. Demonstrated ability to think systematically and strategically. |
