Job Responsibilities: |
|
This position is responsible for facilitating supervision of the mentoring matches made in our program. Match Support ensures child safety, growth between the child and mentor, satisfaction in the match along with creating affiliation to the agency. Matches are supervised from beginning of the match to closure and include annual evaluations, goal setting, surveys, closure interviews and assessments. Match support primarily takes place over the phone during the late afternoon/evening. Documentation is needed for all monitor elements of match support. Assists in the planning, organizing and implementation of agency events, fund-raising projects and miscellaneous projects as needed. Remain abreast of current trends in mentoring/youth development. Executes the agency's program in such a way as to produce positive outcomes in customer satisfaction, processing times and low closure rate. |

Job Qualifications: |
|
Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in the area of human services, social work, psychology, criminal justice, education or related field. At least one year demonstrated experience in the area of case management and ability to work with adults, youth and families. Strong oral and written communication skills needed. Ability to form and sustain appropriate youth, adult and volunteer based relationships based on positive youth development and volunteer satisfaction. Effectively assess and execute the following relational support skills: guiding, supporting, confronting, advising and/or negotiating; relate well in multicultural environments; effectively collaborate with other volunteer match staff; use time effectively and focus on details. Ability to collect meaningful data and draw solid conclusions. Proficiency Microsoft Office including Word/Outlook/Excel. Demonstrated judgment and common sense in the ability to maintain confidentiality. Successful completion of a background check required. Ability to speak Spanish a plus |

This position is considered salaried. Annual increases are based on merit and performance. |
