Description:
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland, Inc. seeks a team player for our Baltimore office who will be responsible for securing grants from foundations, community agencies and government sources including writing grants that address institutional priorities and stewarding these grants through regular and timely reporting and recognition.
Key position responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Generate grant proposals, concept papers, and letters of inquiry designed to secure gifts to support institutional priorities and meet annual fund-raising goals.
* Maintain and build the community agencies and foundations prospect pool.
* Submit competitive grant proposals to select local, state, and Federal government sources.
* Helps develop and effectively communicate Big Brothers Big Sisters’ case for support through cultivation strategies with community agencies, foundations, and government agencies.
* Steward grants through regular reporting and recognition activities, working in cooperation with the Senior Director of Fund Development, Vice President of Finance & Operations, Vice President of Mentoring Programs, President & CEO, the board, and other key staff.
* Assist the agency with other development issues and events as needed or assigned.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. |

Job Qualifications: |
|
Demonstrated experience with grant writing & writing skills required.
Ability to use web-based tracking systems with excellent computer skills in Word/Excel/Publisher.
